Dora Cake

My daughter is crazy about Dora the Explorer, so I had to make her a Dora Cake for her 3rd Birthday.

First I downloaded a printable of Dora from Nick Jnr Website. Then I made a plain chocolate sponge cake. I used a large rectangular roasting tin as she had lots of friends to share the cake with. I covered the cake in ready-rolled white icing. I then traced the Dora picture onto baking paper and then placed it on top of the white icing and using a skewer I drew the outline of Dora. I then mixed up icing to the right colours to fill in the picture.

It took quite a few hours to create but well worth it – I think!!
