I was anxious to try some new tips. I had seen a similar Easter basket cake advertised at a Big named ice cream store. I had a basic idea of what kinds of flower to use on the cakes. I did go through the internet and materials. I had to learn the Daffodil and Pansie. The first cake wasn't as nice looking as my second attempt(pictured here).

The second cake was sent to work with my husband. They said it was too cute to cut. I received a thank you card signed by the entire company! Now I want to find more cakes to use the basket weave on. This was a lot of fun!

This Easter Basket cake was so easy. I made 3 eight inch round cakes. I put a box of pudding in the box cake mix to make the cake a little bit denser. Then frosted the outside of the basket with the basket tip. Then I used the grass tip for the top of the basket and sprinkled jelly beans and peeps.

It was super easy and we auctioned it off for March of Dimes.

I copied an idea that I saw on here for Easter Basket Cupcakes. The grass is piped frosting, tinted green. The eggs are jellybeans and then of course, the Peeps on top of the bigger cupcakes.

I used a toothpick in the peeps to make them stand up. I made these for our Parents of Preschoolers group and they were a HIT!
