Elmo Birthday Cake

My friend's little girl loves Elmo so I found a picture out of a coloring book and traced it on the cake with piping gel.

I used Wilton's buttercream icing recipe and colors. Black gel to fill in the mouth.

This was my very first cake so I had a hard time with smoothing the cake out. I used the the Wilton's basic yellow cake recipe and got all of the recipes and info from the Wilton web site. It is a very helpful site.
