Finding Nemo Cake 58

My daughter Imogen, is in love with Nemo so I decided to have a go at making her a cake with her favorite fish! I made a chocolate cake in a 30cm round pan, iced it with Betty Crocker vanilla frosting (the ready to spread from the tub stuff!) that was coloured with blue food colouring.

Once that had hardened a bit, I copied a picture onto the cake, from a colouring page picture I found on the net. I then outlined Nemo's body with licorice thinly cut into strips. then coloured the different parts of Nemo with different colours (eg orange, white). I used a piping bag to put this on. Licorice was used for the eyeballs.

I used a piping bag with green icing to make the plant/seaweed stuff underneath Nemo! now I just have to make another one, as her birthday isn't for another 4 weeks! (wanted to do a trial!)
