Cool Homemade Fish Cake

I made this cake using an ordinary 6oz spounge recipe.

I divided the mixture 2/3 into a small oval shaped casserole dish, and 1/3 into a sandwich tin.

When the cakes were done, i put buttercream and jam in the middle of the oval cake, and cut out a tale shape from the round cake, and two smaller fin shaped pieces, which I stuck to the main cake with Jam.

I then made a large quantity of buttercream (meant to be blue, but came out grey) and covered the cake in a thick layer.

The scales were done with white chocolate and milk chocolate button overlapping slightly, and all other details were done with writing icing.

The “FISH” is written with alphabet sweets.
