I have never made a decorative cake before, so this is my first one. My daughter just turned two and I had a lot of people to feed...
The bottom tier is a two layer 14" strawberry cake, with creamcheese icing and filling. The Second tier is a 10" Chocolate cake with a swiss chocolate cake pour on top of a fudge cake, then baked and layered- with a chocolate whipped cream filling and fudge icing. The top layer is a 6" three layer spice cake with creamcheese frosting as well.
I used wilton food coloring gels which were amazing and the flowers and letters are made from wilton fondant- all of them, no paint or anything... for the letters and flowers I let them dry for several days just ot make sure they would stay up in my frosting.
It was a lot of fun! I had no idea i would like this sort of thing, so I am very pleased to have a new hobby!
The picture is not the best, and it's at a weird angle... my daughter's name is Haven
