Homemade Hannah Montana Guitar Cake

I made this Hannah Montana Guitar Cake for a little girl's birthday. It took 4 9x13 cakes. I traced my husband's guitar onto waxed paper, placed 3 cakes long ways, 1 in front of the other. I cut the 4th cake in half & placed it end to end to make the length of the guitar. Placed the cut out on top using toothpicks to keep in place & carved out the shape. I covered in buttercream.

Using homemade fondant I first covered the very top part, then the base, then the neck. I mixed a little of brown color with flavoring and lightly brushed using 1 direction strokes for the wood look. I used silver thread for the strings. I took toothpicks, put a little fondant on the tips, let dry a little, wrapped a bit of thread round the toothpick & placed in the cake then topped with a ball of fondant. You could tighten & loosen the strings like you were tuning it.

My daughter had a Hannah Montana theme for her 7th birthday. So I bought a guitar cake pan. I made a plain white cake. I oiled and put a lot of flour before pouring in batter. This cake messes up really bad if the pan isn't well oiled. Found that out with the 1st cake.

I covered a cut up piece of cardboard with aluminum foil for a neat cake stand. They cake is 2 shades of pink. A dark and light. I then put star sprinkles on it and signed Hannah Montana's name. I decorated the aluminum foil with icing swirls and put clearance Hannah snowglobe Christmas ornaments around it. I also made cupcakes and put Hannah/Miley picks in them.

The girls at her party loved this Homemade Hannah Montana Guitar Cake, they all thought Hannah stopped by our house to autograph her cake.

I made this Hannah Montana Guitar cake for my 4 year old daughter's Hannah Montana birthday party. For the main part of the guitar, I just made 2 rectangular cakes (it was double layers high) and stacked them with frosting between.

For that filling frosting, I combined store-bought frosting, whipped cream, and some raspberry jam, for a lighter flavor. It made the cake! I then hand-carved the shape of the guitar with a knife.

For the neck of the guitar, I used one rectangular cake, cut lengthwise, and also stacked. I hand-carved that shape too. I stuck the two pieces together on the board, frosted and decorated!

Good job on the Hannah Montana guitar cake! It beats buying a cake pan that she will probably not want again for a long time! Creativity score is five out of five!

my daughter wanted a Hannah Montana guitar cake so I made it. I used graham crackers for the neck of the guitar and used Hersey kisses for the knobs that holds the strings.

I used an 11x15x2 cake pan and cut a guitar shape out of it. I made purple icing and brown icing and I also used Andy mints.

It took 2 cakes to fill this pan.
