Guitar Hero Cake

Guitar Hero Cake
My 6 year old Scott loves Rock Band and Guitar Hero for the XBOX so he wanted a cake like his guitar.
I made a pattern for the guitar out of paper, tracing the guitar. I used a Wilton 11x15 inch pan and 2 store bought cake mixes. Followed the package directions. Let the cake cool over night. I cut out the body of the guitar then the arm out of the remaining cake.
Frosted the cake with butter cream frosting.
I then made marshmallow fondant, out of Jet Puff Marshmallows, water and powder sugar. After letting it cool. I rolled out the fondant to cover the guitar. After cutting around the guitar, I Painted the white fondant black using black food coloring and vanilla extract. With the remaining fondant I made the buttons and a whammy bar. Then I outlined the guitar in white butter cream frosting and wrote Happy Birthday Scott.
