Hello Kitty is sitting on a stack of cakes in the shapes of presents. I used a bear mold and shaved the bear's face to form Hello Kitty's flat face. To form the pointy ears, I shaved them. CAUTION when baking, the heat conducting core leaves a cavity in the face area; so, you may need to fill with a buttercream and cake mix. The cake flavor is devils food, covered in buttercream, covered in fondant. Luster dust was used on the dress and butterflies. All the details are made of colored fondant. Tootpicks covered in black fondant were used for the wiskers. I let the butterflies dry on flower formers. The banner is fondant and the name was stamped on then filled in with buttercream. I wiped off the extra buttercream with a damp napkin. Flower formers were placed on the tips of the banner to form the curved shape. I placed evenly cut shish kabob sticks in the center of the cakes to keep stable when stacked.
Kate was turning 2 and had gotten a few peices of hello kitty clothing so i decided to theme her birthday as hello kitty. i looked on this website for ideas and made the cake!
First I went on the internet to look at some templates. I found one I liked and printed it out. I traced it on some wax paper and cut it out. Then, i made the cake and let it cool (a double layer white cake with raspberry filling in the middle) I iced the cake, and then laid the template on the cake and pricked the template with a safety pin. That made the outline onto the icing and then i took a black edible frosted pen (from Michaels) and traced the outline. When that was done, I began to fill the rest of the cake with different tips and different colors of frosting. It was a lot of work but definitely worth it!
I baked this cake using a 11x15 wilton cake pan. 2 boxes of boxed cake mix was used. I greased the pan with wilton cake release which works wonderfully. My cakes never stick at all. After I baked the cake and let cool. I crumb coated it with a thin layer of store bought frosting, Then let it set in the fridge, I mixed some purple frosting and let it set. I freehand drew hello kitty in white gel right onto the cake. Once I decided it looked like hello kitty to trace the outline in black, I then used the star method to fill hello kitty in. I piped the border with pink frosting and added some hearts and wrote happy birthday in white sparkle gel.
This gorgeous Rose Bouquet Hello Kitty Birthday Cake was baked and decorated to celebrate a little girl’s 7th birthday. This one-tier cake was made with a 10” square cake pan. The yummy flavor was French Vanilla with Strawberry Filling.
Hello Kitty is this little girl’s favorite now. She specifically wanted that plus flowers to be included as part of the cake. The butter cream frosting and flowers were color coordinated with the store bought Hello Kitty figurine. To go along with the floral theme a basket weave was added to emphasize the flower “garden” on the side and the seven flowers in the middle top of the cake.
Great overall response by the guests!

I made this cake for my two yeat daughters 2nd birthday! She insisted she wanted a hello kitty cake so I hadta try and make her happy. I used a basic sponge cake recipe which I baked in a rectangle cake pan. I then cut out hello kittys face after practising drawing it for like ten times. I then covered it in a basic white frosting. I used cadbury's chocolate fingers as the whiskers and a yellow sweet as hks nose. I melted licorice and cut it out to make hello kittys eyes. For the flower I used fresh raspberries. And voila we had a hello kitty cake
