Homemade Baby Shower cake

I really enjoyed making this cake!! I used 2 9×13 pans and a 10in round pan to create this bassinett. Please allow cake to cool completely before shaping. Cut the 10in round in to 2 equal halves and use your icing as “glue” to hold them together and on top of the sheet cakes. I recommend that you also use some type of rods or skewers for support to hold your cake together as this cake is pretty heavy. I made up the buttercream icing and colored it using the Wilton food coloring gels. The decals on the sides are edible and made by CakeMate. I used a basket weave technique around the sides and back. The baby on top is plastic and I used the #22 tip to create her blanket and headband!
