This is a cake I made for one of my best friend’s baby shower. 12″ round, 8″ square, 6″ round. I used drinking straws (actually made them fit inside each other for strength) to support the cake, 5 in the bottom round and 4 in the middle square.
It’s a family vanilla cake recipe, filled with chocolate pudding, iced in vanilla buttercream, and covered in marshmallow fondant.
My friend loved it, I received a lot of compliments. It was the first big event cake I’d ever done, and I was pretty pleased with the outcome.
