Kate was turning 2 and had gotten a few peices of hello kitty clothing so i decided to theme her birthday as hello kitty. i looked on this website for ideas and made the cake!
First I went on the internet to look at some templates. I found one I liked and printed it out. I traced it on some wax paper and cut it out. Then, i made the cake and let it cool (a double layer white cake with raspberry filling in the middle) I iced the cake, and then laid the template on the cake and pricked the template with a safety pin. That made the outline onto the icing and then i took a black edible frosted pen (from Michaels) and traced the outline. When that was done, I began to fill the rest of the cake with different tips and different colors of frosting. It was a lot of work but definitely worth it!
