Little Mermaid Cake

Little Mermaid Cake

My daughter was turning 3 and wanted a Little Mermaid cake so I did a couple of searches and found one to copy. This cake so so easy and turned out so cute.

I used 1 cake mix and baked half in a round pan and the other in a mixing bowl (pampered chef). Then I iced the round cake to look like water and the dome cake to look like a rock. I removed the legs from the Little Mermaid doll and wrapped her in foil and cut a small hole to put her in. I also used a Popsicle stick to support her back.

I went online and found free Disney clip art of Flounder and Sabastian and taped them to card stock using double sided tape and then cut them out. I taped them to toothpicks and stuck them in the cake. Went to Michaels and found some shells, I rinsed them of course and put them around the cake. Super easy and a real hit!
