Littlest Pet Shop Beach cake

My 6 year old daughter loves LPS and has many to choose from so we picked a theme we had many animals to go with and began creating. We just started with a basic cake mix and canned frosting...nothing too fancy there. I frosted the whole cake white and then colored some of it light blue for the water. I left the frosting kind of swirly to represent the water. I crushed up vanilla sandwich cookies for sand and sprinkled this on. It was a little hard to work with the crumbs because after the layer got stuck to the frosting it was not really sticking to anything. I just worked with it carefully. We were both happy with the results!
