Mini Island Cake

I was making two other 8" cakes, and had to level them. With the extra cake off the top of the other two, I took a small bowl and squished the extra cake together so it all stuck and molded into the dome shape of the bowl.
I took blue icing around the sides, and crushed cookie crumbs for the top of the island. The coconuts are almonds and the palm tree is that cute little umbrella you get in your tropical drinks :)
My family would have eaten the extra cake anyway, but i figured its a cute way to use my extra icing and sugar cookies I had on hand that would go bad in a few days!
