Mushroom Cake

This mushroom cake I made for my 2 daughters birthday at preschool. The idea was from a birthday cake cook book.It was very easy to make.

I used two different Pyrex bowls and for the icing I used buttercream. The cakes are chocolate cakes. I then colored coconut green so that the grass would like a lot like grass. The picture shows to put little fairies but instead I used the dolls from my daughters little people games.

The cake is a lot different than the book. It was actually a lot cheaper than going and buying a cake and it looked a lot better. It was a big hit and because it was so big they gave the kids from the other class cake also.
