My Daughters Dream Cake

I made this cake for my daughter`s 7th birthday.I wanted to make a cake and was browsing through the sites for a good cake idea when my daughter saw a beautiful barbie cake on a site and she insisted that I make one for her.Your site proved very helpful as there are lots of pictures of cake on it.
I made two chocolate marble cakes and one chocolate cake to make the dress.I sandwiched the chocolate cake in between the marble cakes. I did two layers of chocolate buttercream icing on it and then for the dress I used pink coloured fondant which I made my self with marshmallows.I decorated the dress with white fondant and silver beads. The result was amazing and nobody wanted to cut the cake as it was so pretty.In India I do not have easy access to many cake making tools such as cookie cutters and icing tips etc.I was really lucky to find marshmallows in a nearby store otherwise I don`t know how I would have managed the cake.
But, at the end of the day my daughter was delighted and so was I.
