Well, after making a couple of these cakes now, this was the first attempt at it that I ever had done. I ordered from the Pampered Chef, the standard glass mixing bowl, followed the recipe from the Pampered Chef and away I went.

My daughter loved this cake for her 7th birthday. The base of the cake is a regular square cake pan.

I did rosebud for the dress. The only suggestion that I can make to all the parents, friends and future dress decorators out there is that if you want to do the rosebud look on a Barbie cake, make sure your hands are cold, or run your hands under cold water. Otherwise, the icing will begin to melt and the rosebuds won't come out firm.
