Orchid Diaper Cake

I made a fanned diaper cake for a new baby girl my friend just had. I used size 2 diapers so she could enjoy the cake for a while before taking it apart to use the diapers. I went simple and just used a rose satin ribbon with a sage green decorative ribbon in the center which i hot glued directly to the rose ribbon to prevent puckering or slipping. Then i tied simple green raffia in a knot around all 3 tiers. I just tucked in some of the clipped orchids and u used a slim dowel rod through the center just to keep the tiers from slipping off while i carry it. I love how feminine and classy it came out. I love the look of the fan method much better than the rolling one. But you cant add gifts as easy.
