This cake wasn't as hard as you think it would be. First I baked one cake mix in a large Pyrex bowl on 275 for about 65-70 minutes, ovens do vary, so be cautious. I also baked 1 9inch round cake to put under the "skirt" part so that it would be taller. Let the cake cool in the Pyrex bowl for about an hour, then I took it out of the bowl and wrapped in foil and put into the freezer for a few hours. It is much easier to frost this way. I also made homemade frosting and colored it pink and purple for the skirt. You can decorate it anyway you like. After the cake was cooled, i put a crumb coating on it and then frosted it with the pink frosting, with purple accents. I cut a hole in the middle, tore off Barbi's legs and put her in the hole, My daughter absolutely loved her princess cake.
