izzies princess cake
This is my first attempt at making a birthday cake ever. I made this for my daughter isabellas 3rd birthday and I think it came out really well. I made using 3 victoria sponge cakes on top of eachother and round the top layer. I then cover with jam for the rolled icing to stick to. I then rolled the icing and cover the dress part. I took off the dolls legs (she was too tall) and slotted her into the top layer of sponge. I wrapped rolled icing to make a bodice and them piped the bottom of the dress and waist and added edible glitter to it. I then coloured the rolled icing with pink food colouring and made into hearts for the candles. I am stunned that I did it and it has given me the bug to do more.
