Princess Cake

I made this cake for my daughter Barbie on her Sweet 16th birthday! I bought a small crown for about $8.00 at Walmart, sold by the craft section. I used the 3 tier stackable cake pans to make this cake. I made my homemade frosting and used box cake mix, large round colored sequins, and spray colored food dye(air brushing in a can) which I purchased both at a cake supply store. I used my decorating bag to detail and write on the cake. The cake looks fancy, but it was so easy to make. I made my cakes, torted and filled them, frosted the cakes, layered cakes and frosted them, added the spray food coloring in spots, then placed the large colored sequins around. Topped it off with the jeweled crown and wrote on the cake! It looked beautiful and was so easy to make. You can make this using any shaped pan too. I have used round, flower, hearts, etc.
