We wanted to make an R2-D2 cake, but we didn’t want it to be huge, but it still had to look good. So we used two 9×13 pans, and one round Cake pan.
The center portion of the cake is a 9×13 pan, the legs are made from cutting out of the second 9×13 pan, and the head of course is half of the round cake pan. We used the other half of the round cake to make a planet like at the bottom to put the happy birthday words on.
The scope is made from a film canister. Only because we wanted it to be slightly raised and that worked the best.
