Rock Climber Cake

Don't you hate it when someone's favorite flavor is German Chocolate? Probably the ugliest combination of frosting on cake that I've ever seen. Fortunately, the recipient of this cake is also a rock climber and pecan/coconut frosting looks pretty rocky.

I found the idea for this rock climber cake right here on this very website! I started with a thin layer of honey on the sheet to make the green grass sprinkles stick. Then I added cupcakes and held them in place with chocolate frosting. After I frosted them, I sprinkled chocolate "jimmies" to give an even rockier texture. Then I added a toy action male climber and a female Christmas tree ornament climber and tied them both to the candles.

This "cake" was served at a rock climbing campground where we didn't want to create a lot of trash from plastic forks or paper plates. It was so simple to just have everyone take a cupcake and a napkin.
