TripleDecker P.B. & J.

TripleDecker P.B. & J.

I made this sandwich cake for my husband's birthday. He is a huge fan of the sandwich, but likes it with three slices of bread, hence "triple decker".

I used six boxes of pound cake. I used 12in. square pan to make each layer. I carved the shape of a slice of bread to each. I covered each layer with butter cream then covered in fondant. I wrapped another piece of fondant which I dyed brown for crust.

For the peanut butter I dyed butter cream a light brown, The jelly is made of cherry pastry filling. I then put the cake together. I did use a dowel down the middle for support.

The potato chips are made of gum paste which I then airbrushed for color...
