Sheep Cake
My special friend didnt know what a sheep was. So, for his going away I decided to make a sheep cake. While googling different ideas for the cake I ran across this website. I tried to replicate the sheep cake already posted but made a few changes.
I used a basic yellow cake mix in a 9" round and an 8" round pan. Once cooled, I covered the larger cake with vanilla frosting and used a fork to "fluff" the icing. I then cut out the shape of the head free hand and placed the head towards the bottom of the larger cake. I used chocolate icing (slightly melted) on the head. I then looked up Serta sheep faces to get an idea for the face and used a toothpick to draw it on with icing. The colors were made from the leftover vanilla icing and food coloring. I then used twix bars for the legs.
Overall, I think it turned out great!
