skulls and stripes
My son's 6th birthday cake
This was my first attempt at rolled fondant. This is a chocolate cherry marbled cake (from mixes) covered in Vanilla buttercream and marshmallow fondant.
I made the little skull cutouts from fondant a few days before the rest of the cake and left them out to dry. I covered the cake layers completly in white fondant and then cut different sized stripes out of the black fondant using a pizza cutter. The stripes and the skulls were attached using a paint brush and water to wet the fondant and "glue" the pieces together.
