Slumber Party Cake

Slumber Party Cake

My niece, Jordin, wanted a slumber party cake for her birthday, so I came up with this.

The bed, tv and nightstand are all made of rice krispie treats and covered in homemade rolled fondant. The (huge) nail polish bottles, bowl of popcorn, braided rug, and decorative pieces on the bed, and pillow(the feathers on the edge of the pillow are coconut)are all made from gumpaste. She wanted me to make her dog too, so that was also out of gumpaste! The beanbag chair is fondant.

I made the girls out of gumpaste too. They LOVE Hannah Montana, so I just drew the tv front with edible marker. The antennae are painted toothpicks.

Thanks you. Yeah, this was a really fun cake to do! I did another similar one for a friend's daughter who wanted sleeping bags instead of the beds!
