Snow White cake

I was asked by a friend at work to make a cake for her daughter's 7th birthday, using her favorite Disney princess, Snow White. She bought Snow White and two of the dwarfs to put on the cake.

I used a boxed cake mix and buttercream icing. It was a two-layer round cake with princess gummies and chocoalte fudge icing in between the layers. I bought the cardboard cottage from a craft store.

The rocks along the pathway are chocolate rocks and the dirt is made from ground up chocolate rocks. I used gel icing for the water in the pond.

I tried to make it look like one of the pictures from a Snow White book. I used a number 233 tip to make the top of the cake look like grass.
I had no room to write "happy birthday" on the top of the cake, so I used candy letters and put it on the side of the cake.

I finished the cake off by filling in the side of the cake with flowers made from royal icing.
