Spiderman Birthday Cake

This is a 13x9 sheet cake. For the spiderman I cut out two identical patterns that i traced from a coloring book out of wax paper. Then I cut one pattern into pieces. First I laid down the big pattern that had not been cut. I piped black icing around the outline. Then I lifted the pattern off. I used the cut up pattern as necessary to get the head shape and the eyes. Then I filled in the cake with red icing and went over that with black for the lines.
