Here is a very simple Star Wars ship that I made a couple of years ago. I used a basic yellow cake mix adding pudding and milk. Baked in a 9 X 13 pan and then cut off about 1/4 of the cake to stack in three layers on the ship as shown in the picture. Then buttercream frosting colored accordingly, and smoothed on twice with a spatula. Once it was dry I made a light design by pressing a paper towel against the icing. We used Ho-Hos or Ding Dongs for the back of the ship. I found these smaller Star Wars figures to place on top in battle. They are cheaper than the big ones and have flat feet, so they stay put on the cake. Plus a little extra present for the birthday boy! I also used milano cookies for the top. The children loved the cake and the theme! I also made a death star and both were served at the party.
