Tank Cake

I looked at the other cakes made on this website and used ideas I saw here (thanks everyone!). The bottom layer is 9X13 and the top is an 8X8 (cut in proportion to the bottom layer). Inside it was a four layer (cut using dental floss) spice cake with cream cheese frosting but the outside was frosted with Pastry Pride (original flavor-white - not chocolate, although that would have worked). I colored the pastry pride with a lot of brown coloring to get the tan color and used green spray on frosting that I purchased at a party supply shop (but also available at Michaels).

After I frosted the cake brown I sprayed the green on for the camo effect. Then I added Oreos as the wheels and sections of Hershey bars as the track. Finally I used a bread stick for the big gun on the front and used a very thick black frosting I bought at the grocery store.

Finally I added one little army guy and covered him up with brown frosting (to cover the hole he created) and added an Oreo (half an Oreo I was forced to eat the filling and other half) as the hatch before writing my message on the top. It was fun to make.
