Thanksgiving Cake

This cake was for Thanksgiving. I just used two round 9-inch cake pans. I get a lot of tips from my grandmother who has baked a lot of wedding, birthday and holiday cakes-*tip-cool only little while then you can put them in fridge to cool sooner and you can ice faster-which is a most for me!
I made the buttercream icing. *I got the icing flat by using Viva paper towel! I found the picture of turkey online. And then I used piping gel and traced the turkey on wax paper than I centered it and then flipped it onto cake. I then traced the turkey with colored icing. Then I used the star tip to fill in the turkey. I did have candy-Mike&Ike laying around house so I just cut one in half to add the yellow in the tail. For the trimming I used the big shell and had brown icing left so I just used the #3 tip and dotted inbetween each shell. And I just free-handed the wording.
