The Wedding Birthday Cake
Knowing that my best friend had eloped and never had the wedding of her dreams.I thought for her 40th birthday that I might give her a little something she would remember for a long time. The wedding cake she never had!
The cake turned out perfectly. I play around with decorating cakes and had never before tried to make a wedding cake. Needless to say, she was very, very surprised and very happy.
To go along with this special birthday cake, I contacted a preacher to perform a recommittment ceremony. Her hubby had told her earlier that he was taking her some place special for dinner that night and to dress accordingly. He brought her to my home and the ceremony was performed, the cake was cut and it was a wonderful night for all.
The cake has buttercream icing and was made with white cake mixes. I can recall just how many I used but it was many, many boxes!
