Thomas the Train cake
I made Thomas the Train cake for my son's 2nd birthday. I baked everything the day before, mixed icing colors that night and iced/decorated the day of the party.
This cake was also created based on this site- here are some of the high points you may find helpful:
*Used chocolate (brown) Twizzlers for the track- taste better than black!
*The train cars were 2 loaf cakes baked in a regular full-size loaf pan and cut into 3 pieces later.
*The black "Tar" car was three full size marshmallows skewered together and then iced.
Guests seemed to pick their cake piece based on what the train car had in it- the most popular by far were the blueberries and the gummy spice drops! Cake looked great out on counter during party.
