Tinkerbell Cake

by Tina O'Hara
(Alma, MI USA)

This cake was made by using two round cake pans and a small stainless steel bowl. Two cakes were baked in the small bowl, trimmed, filled and placed on top of one another to make a ball. I dirty iced the ball and covered it in marshmallow fondant leaves (freehanded, I do not have a template) The tea pot's handle and spout are made out of marshmallow fondant and I used a spoon to make the detail in the wood grain. I painted the handle and spout with brown food coloring. The Tinkerbell on top came from walmart. Flowers are gumpaste and Royal icing. Plaque is MMF with edible food writer. Sprayed with green wilton's food coloring spray.
