Treasure Chest 32

I made this treasure chest cake for my school library's cake decorating contest. I forget how I made the bottom but (I made this two years ago, I can tell you that to make the lid I used two 9' round cake pans and I cut them in half.

I then frosted them together with the flat side down and I covered the whole cake in chocolate icing. To make the books I made two 9 x 9 inch square cakes and cut them down the middle, then frosted as a book. To finish off the look I put candy gold nuggets and gummy worms around the outside of the cake in Oreo crumbs.
