Why should you buy a used cake pan on eBay?
- On eBay you'll find almost every cake pan that has ever existed
- You know exactly what you're getting (and you know it'll work... ;-)
- You'll probably use it only once, so why even think about buying a new one?!

Two friends in my craft group share a birthday. They are both avid knitters so I thought of these interesting and different design of a knitting basket. I used regular 8'' rounds for the basket. The balls of yarn were actually made from a mini-Jack O' Lantern pan because that's what I had on hand. A small ball pan would work well.
I used buttercream icing for the whole cake. The basket is chocolate piped on in a basket-weave pattern. I covered the balls of yarn in regular buttercream using a round tip. I piped a spoke design then filled in each wedge. I set the balls on top of the cake then piped a little more icing to fill in the gaps and make it look more realistic. Finally I used wooden skewers as knitting needles.
