I started this icy creation of a walrus cake with a single layer square cake. After cooling and deciding which side to use I trimmed the football shape pan by Wilton as the iceberg and frosted these with a fluffy frosting to make it look like waves and motion.
I used rice crispy treats and shaped them for the Walrus. They worked very well. I then covered it with fondant and let it dry. I used Wiltons Decorator Spray Color to add all the color being able to make shades this stuff works wonderful.
After the Walrus dried I attached tusks made from fondant as well and I used dry angle hair pasta first dipped in a little water then into powdered sugar and applied them as his whiskers.
