I made this spring flower cake to donate to an Auction. An apartment building burnt down in the Artic and they were raising money for the people who lost their homes. Spring is still cold here and much was needed to help.
When asked to bake a cake to donate I was thrilled to be able to help. Little did I know this cake would help as much as it did. They raised $600.00 at the auction for it.
I wanted to make a spring cake to cheer people up and we were all looking forward to Spring. It is my favorite time of the year. Everything is new and alive. The sun comes out and the skies are blue.
There are not much vegetation here and there is still snow but Spring brings us hope. Everyone loves a good peice of cake and everyone feels good when they are helping the community. I am glad I could help in this way!
