I baked 2 round cakes and leveled the tops. Using a round cookie cutter I removed the centers of the cakes, and then cut sections from the ‘ring’ cakes to fit together and form the ‘3’. This cake was for my youngest son’s birthday party. Tiger cake being a favorite cake (stripy chocolate and vanilla  made with olive oil rather than butter. Beautifully moist!).

The cake was covered in white chocolate plastique, which tastes delicious. The creatures and other decorations were made from dark chocolate plastique and sugar dough. This was the fun part! I used photos to work from, and the worm was freakily realistic!! This was so much fun to make and although I started the day without a plan, I was really happy with the result.
