Barney Cake

I made this Barney cake for my Son’s 2nd Birthday. We used 10 inch and 6 inch pans. We tinted the cake purple using food coloring and used store bought vanilla frosting, colored Green with coloring gel (bought at Michaels craft store).

After having a hard time trying to smooth the frosting we decided to swirl it using a toothpick. We bought ready made fondant. We rolled it out and used cookie cutters to cut out shapes and 2’s for my son turning two!!! Peel the shapes off wax paper and stick to the frosting.

We ordered “cake toppers” online and bought star candles at the dollar store. I really liked the candles because they added to the shape theme of the whole party.
