Cool Ice Cream Birthday Cake

I made this ice cream birthday cake for my daughter’s 6th birthday. It was very simple yet effective. I used 3×7″ chocolate cakes and layered with pink butter cream icing.

I then crumb coated it, let it dry in the fridge a bit then covered it in the pink butter cream icing. I didn’t bother making it smooth and neat as I am not very good at covering a cake with icing.

I then used an ice cream cone and molded some cake I had from a previous birthday to make the ball for the ice cream, then put it on a plate and covered it with magic chocolate topping that hardens. Once hardened I put it on top of the cake and used the magic chocolate topping to drizzle the cake and topped it off with silver  sugar gels for decoration.

It was a fun cake to do and they were all fighting for the ice cream cone.
