Coolest Agent P-Phineas and Ferb Cake

I used 2 8″ chocolate round cakes with chocolate filling to make this Agent P-Phineas and Ferb Cake. I stuck to a boxed cake because we were on vacation! I crumb coated the top layers then used a rolled sugar paste for the smooth top. I tinted the sugar paste with Wilton gel coloring and kept adjusting the greens and blues to come up with “Perry blue.”

I used the same sugar paste (differing gel colors, oranges, yellows, browns) to make all of Agent P’s features and cut them out with an exact-o knife. It was for my husband, Perry, and he and the kids got a kick out of it! I wish I would have attempted his hat but I had to make do with what I had. Pretty simple and sugar paste is very easy to work with. Not the best flavor but very smooth and clean. Butter cream would be better but I was really looking for a clean looking cake.

Hope you like it!

  1. thanks for posting this, I will copy it for my daughter’s birthday! I think I will do the Perry green in buttercream, and then I will make cookie icing for the facial features. Does cookie icing work on top of buttercream, does anyone know?
