I started this Bacon and Eggs Cake with a normal yellow cake, with chocolate frosting.
I made the bacon and eggs with a store bought white fondant. I hand dyed the fondant to look like marbling in the bacon by barely kneading the frosting. The eggs were incredibly easy to make by just adding the yellow yolk.
For the egg yolk looking lettering I made a confection sugar frosting, I added more liquid then usual to make it runny. I refrigerated the cake after the lettering to set it and keep it from running straight off the plate.
