My daughter wanted a Homemade Barbie Doll Mermaid Cake for her 6th birthday. I used a bunt cake pan for the bottom and a small Pyrex bowl for the top part, I used a paper towel tube to cut out the center of the bowl cake for the doll to set in. I used home made from scratch buttercream icing and decorated the cake as the ocean scene and put colored gold fish around for additional affect.
It was a huge success and my daughter LOVED it.
