I made a half-sheet cake covered with white fondant. This basketball cake is for a high school graduate who plays basketball. The jersey is his actual one and that picture was sent to me by his aunt along with a picture of his shoes. This is printed on an edible rice paper that I had done at a local grocery store (Fry’s Food).
The sneakers: I colored it as close to the picture as possible. I formed the rice crispies as shoes and covered it with the orange fondant. Then, I drew the Nike sign with an edible marker and used toothpick to put “holes” to make it look like it’s mesh. The shoelace is made out of fondant too.
