Cool Homemade Ben 10 Cake with Cut-Out Fondant Image

I made this Ben 10 cake for my nephew’s birthday as he is mad on Ben 10. I used a rectangular cake tin to make the sponge which had a buttercream filling and then I covered it with green sugarpaste icing which I purchased from my local cake shop.

I found a picture of Ben 10 on the internet and traced the picture onto paper and then I made separate templates of Ben 10. Even his ears and eyebrows were cut out separately. I cut all the templates on the sugarpaste and then I placed them all together on the cake to form the Ben 10 picture. To finish the cake off I piped royal icing shells around the bottom of the cake.

  1. That is the coolest cake ever!! My son wants one for his 10th birthday. I wish I knew you personally so you could make one for me. Do you have any ideas of where I could go to get one done for me like that.

  3. Hi there. I just had to copy your idea so I made a cake similar to yours for my son’s 7th birthday party. It came out amazing. This is the first time I made and used fondant and I’ll probably never go back to buttercream again. Thanks for the idea and inspiration!

  9. Hi, my little boy is Ben 10 crazy and it’s his 6th Birthday in 3 weeks time. I have seen Ben 10 cakes in the shops but they are really small so when this came up on the page it blew me away. Thank you so much for the inspiration, I just hope my little man appreciates my efforts as much as your nephew must have.
