Coolest Birthday Beach Bash Cake

My boyfriend’s daughter is turning 11 and she begged me for a beached theme birthday party! I thought how cool would it be to make a birthday beach bash cake! So I looked around on the internet and found a few good web sites especially this website actually!

I used a few simple ingredients because I didn’t have a lot of money to spend on the cake itself! The sand was constructed of simply brown sugar the light kind. The water was simply white icing with a little bit of a royal blue food coloring. The background things like the palm tree and the flip flops sunglasses were actually pop out stickers that I tapped the toothpicks to.

The pan that I chose to use was 9 x 13!, simply follow the directions on how to make the cake. Make sure that you butter and flour the pan really well so it will fall right out once cooled! Next get all your things ready for the cake like the icing and they decorations that you’ve already prepared such as the toothpicks in your stickers. My suggestion is to do the water first because once the brown sugar has been laid down the water cannot touch that part or it will stick to everything and brown sugar will get into your water!

Lastly, only I added a bag of seashells I bought at a craft store but before I put them anywhere near the cake I boiled them to disinfect them. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy my birthday beach bash cake.
