Cute Homemade Snake Birthday Cake

I used 2 bundt cakes, one vanilla and one chocolate, and cut them into two equal halves for this Birthday Snake Cake. I slid them into S shapes and used frosting as the glue to make them stick. I tapered the tale and used the two wedge shape pieces to make a head. It took quite a bit of frosting to form the head. I used white butter cream icing with green food coloring gel to decorate. I decorated the back like diamonds with black and red icing tubes and sprinkles, then used black to make a small rattler at the end.

I got the idea from a magazine but theirs was much more elaborate than mine. I used frosting tubes to make the eyes and a birthday hat on top. You could use frosting or a fruit roll-up to make the tongue.

This cake is pretty easy to make but frosting takes a little patience. It was a big hit at my 8 year old son’s birthday party!
